This is the last will and testament of me, Susan Stuart of Cromwell, widow. After payment of all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses, I give, devise and bequeath unto my neighbor, Thomas James Varcoe (son of the late Richard Varcoe, Snr of Cromwell) my freehold land with all buildings thereon at present occupied by me and situated opposite the Victoria Hotel, Cromwell, also to Susan Varcoe, my adopted daughter and widow of the late Richard Varcoe, Snr of Cromwell, the whole of the moveable contents of my cottage and buildings at present occupied by me on the section of the land described above (as left by me to Thomas James Varcoe): And as to the residence and remainder of all my real and personal estate, I give, devise and bequeath the same also unto my adopted daughter Susan Varcoe, widow of the late Richard Varcoe, Snr and I hereby appoint Richard Varcoe of Cromwell, printer and James Stuart Varcoe of Cromwell, hairdresser or the survivors of these, the executors of this my will, as witness my hand this 26th day of June 1917.
