|2305||1889||Mine location.||The mine was located on the lower Bannockburn Creek, approx 1.6 km from the Kawarau River, approx 0.6 km upstream of the confluence with Shepherds Creek, on the true right bank. No trace of the mine now exists.|
|2306||1889||Naming of the Cairnmuir seam.||It appears that Mr Ridland gave the name Cairnmuir to this seam of coal after he discovered it in location #499.|
