|3270||1883||Mine location||Located on the northern side of Slaughteryard Hill, above Cairnmuir Road cattle stop (location #467) - west of the gravel road to the sewage oxidation pond.|
|3271||1883||General notes.||It appears that around 1883 a new adit to work the 'Excelsior' mine was driven some distance above the original workings of location #498. This new 'Excelsior' mine was worked until the coal was pinched out by a fault.|
|3272||1885||General notes||The 'Excelsior' mine (#377) was abandoned as being worked out and a new adit was driven further up the slope and to the west of this one. This new 'Excelsior' is location #179.|
