Note Date Short Description Note Text
3591 c1879 General notes. About this time, John Short (1) opened up his mine in Lower Adams Gully. This mine was very close to the mine of John Pryde and James Smith - the 'Kawarau Coal Pit'. He worked this mine on his own for a number of years. It appears that no details of the mine have survived.
