| 3591 | c1879 | General notes. | About this time, John Short (1) opened up his mine in Lower Adams Gully. This mine was very close to the mine of John Pryde and James Smith - the 'Kawarau Coal Pit'. He worked this mine on his own for a number of years. It appears that no details of the mine have survived. |
