987 1878 John Ball and family move to dwelling #68. John Ball and his family moved to Bannockburn in August 1878 with Mr Ball building dwelling #68.
997 c1897 D U McGregor purchased dwelling #68. It appears that Mr David Ure McGregor purchased dwelling #68 from Mr John Ball. David McGregor still owned dwelling #140 at Stewart Town. He may have stayed there when he was operating Menzies Dam. He continued to work as a water race proprietor until his death in 1903.
998 c1897 - c1903 General Notes. It appears that Mr McGregor lived in dwelling #68, but he may have also lived in a bachelors hut further west in Domain Road (see id #518) (From J P Parcels notes). At this time the author can find no definite dates for his occupation of either #68 or #518.
1000 1904 Mr Robert Ray purchased dwelling #68. Robert Ray was one of Charles Ray's sons. A house was required for Robert's Aunty, Miss Isabella McWhirter, who had shifted to Bannockburn. Charles Ray already owned dwelling #69, so was legally unable to purchase a second dwelling. Robert Ray was by now of age, so dwelling #68 was purchased for his Aunty, who was also not legally allowed to purchase property due to her sex. The property was purchased from the estate of Mr D U McGregor. Robert Ray does not appear to have lived in the property - he probably lived with his parents in dwelling #69.
1014 1929 Miss McWhirter purchased dwelling #68 from her sister Mrs Jane Ray. Miss McWhirter purchased dwelling #68 from her sister Mrs Jane Ray. Bella did not live in the house at this time, but rented the property. She had moved to Dunedin in 1924.
1008 1918 Charles and Jane Ray moved from dwelling #69 to dwelling #68. Charles and Jane Ray moved from dwelling #69 to dwelling #68.
981 1942 Francis Halliday Garth purchased dwelling #68. Francis Halliday Garth purchased dwelling #68. He was non-resident, living in dwelling #69. Dwelling #68 was in ruins at this time.
