The Swiftburn and Arrow bridges were opened on Dec 13. Jack Flynn was give the privilege of crossing with his Yankee Wagon with six horses and a load of 5 tons.

John Flynn drove an eight horse wagon for Butels of Arrowtown. He was a "well known and Hibernian character around Bannockburn"

Dwelling #103 burnt down one night about this time. John Flynn was the only one living here at this time.
