On 12 March, John Hector Robertson, the eldest son of Margaret purchased a house in Murray Street, Cromwell for his mother. He was a successful gold miner in the Kawarau Gorge and Gees Flat. The house, known as 'Renshaws' was purchased from Mr Sharcoe for the sum of £80. The stone building was later used as an ice cream factory, then a deer meat factory, and is now under Lake Dunstan. Unfortunately the pressure of trying to raise her children became too much for Mrs Robertson. |

The couple may have lived with Mrs S Graham in dwelling #88. |
