John Hector Robertson was the first son of James Robertson and Margaret Susan Lucy Farr. he may have been born in Sydney, Australia, but did live in the Kawarau Gorge with his parents, maybe near or at Georgetown. John went to school there and may have worked for his father in his coal mine near the mouth of the Kawarau Gorge. |

Robert Robertson, Johns younger brother, may have continued to live at the hotel. He had lived there with his aunty after the death of his mother. |
