Jacob Crow had built dwelling #301 and was gold mining in Duffers Gully where they lived. The Parcell family of 'Halfway House' (dwelling #292) were the Crow's closest neighbours and became good friends. |

On March 15 1900 at the residence of Mr Jacob Crow, Hall Road, Bannockburn (dwelling #14), the marriage of Miss Mary Abigail Crow, 23 years and Mr Henry Clyde Parcell, 34 years, a carrier took place. Henry Parcell took up a small farm in Smith's Gully and built (or had built) dwelling #224 in the head of a gully which became known as Parcell's Gully. The couple lived and farmed here for the rest of their lives. |
