William was riding on a cart , with his son Theo driving. They were crossing the ford in Tinley's creek close to the flying fox (location #236) when he lost his hold and fell heavily. He was taken to the Cromwell hospital where they found he had a broken rib. On 10 Sep, William Toms died of pneumonia in Cromwell hospital at the age of 71 years. He is buried in the Cromwell cemetery. |
