Dwelling #32 was built c1923 by George Burgess of Wanaka who was a stone mason who came from the Shetland Islands. The house was built for Sandy Beaton, although he never lived in the house. Sandy Beaton was the uncle of Archie Beaton who worked on sheep stations in the Nevis.
