3164 1935 General notes.

A company was formed to work an area at the upper end of the Cairnmuir terrace, below the junction of the Bannockburn creek and the Kawarau river. The use of one of the existing water races was secured, and this race was widened, strengthened and extended. Pipelines and a sluicing plant were installed, tailraces constructed, and opening out operations were undertaken. Results did not come up to expectations and operations were suspended after a short time. Seven men were employed, returning 6 oz, 7 pennyweight and 19 grains of gold with a value of £59, 12 shillings and 9 pence.

3165 1936-1938 General notes.

Very little work was carried out by the company during this time.
