The only information on this 'mine' appears on photo #1156 which is a survey plan covering the period of 1902 - 1943 with various mine surveys of the Shepherds Creek mines (#243, #248 and #249). It shows location #384 as maybe being a secondary access drive into location #248 which is situated in Pigroot Gully. It is shown as a portal symbol. The survey lines red (for underground) and black (for surface ground) meet at a peg situated at the portal symbol. The author has not been able to date the portal. |
