3491 c1940 Colin Campbell met Edna Mary King.

Colin James Campbell (see resident 2 of dwelling #98) was called up for WW2 and he joined the air force. It appears that while stationed in Britain he met Edna Mary King, who was born in Pembroke Dock, Tenby, Pembrokeshire, Wales.

3492 1941 Marriage of Colin and Edna

Colin and Edna were married and had a son, Colin Hugh Campbell (2). Unfortunately Colin (1) was killed in action.

3493 c1946 Edna Campbell came to New Zealand.

Some time after her husbands death, Mrs Edna Campbell came to New Zealand to meet her husbands family. It appears that her and her son came to live with them in dwelling #457.

3494 1946 Colin Campbell (2) enrolled at the Bannockburn school.

On 19 Nov, Mrs Campbell enrolled her son Colin in the Bannockburn school.

3495 1947 Edna Campbell meets J R Parcell.

John Richard Parcell returned from WW2 where he had served in the army. He got to know Edna Campbell on his return to Bannockburn. They were married at the Bannockburn Presbyterian Church on 19 Sep 1947, and with her son they moved to Tarras where he purchased a farm. His son Philip still farms the land there.
