On December 26 1877, Isabella Begg, aged 17 years was married to James Newberry Crabbe, a miner of Bannockburn, aged 27 years. The wedding took place in the dwelling house of James Begg. On the marriage certificate the location is recorded as Cromwell, but it may actually have been dwelling #49 in Bannockburn. The officiating minister was the Rev. Benjamin Drake. The witnesses were Samuel Graham and John Pryde, both miners of Bannockburn.

On May 26 1880, Margaret Begg, aged 15 years was married to Thomas Donnally, a miner of Bannockburn, full age. The wedding took place in the dwelling of James Begg, in Bannockburn. The officiating minister was the Rev. Benjamin Drake. The witnesses were James Crabbe, miner and Owen O'Neil, both of Bannockburn.
