This is the earliest details of the Woodhouse family that have been found. It appears that Mr Woodhouse was running the Woodhouse Hotel in Woodhouse Gully, Queensbury. The building was made of pug. There was also another hotel in Queensbury, which may have been one too many. Around this time the Woodhouse family moved from Queensbury to Roxburgh. They closed down their hotel and stripped out the pug building of the joinery. They even took the iron off the roof. They may have planned to rebuild the hotel or a house in Roxburgh. At present the author has no information about the Woodhouse family during their time in Roxburgh.
