It appears that Mr David Ure McGregor purchased dwelling #68 from Mr John Ball. David McGregor still owned dwelling #140 at Stewart Town. He may have stayed there when he was operating Menzies Dam. He continued to work as a water race proprietor until his death in 1903. |

It appears that Mr McGregor lived in dwelling #68, but he may have also lived in a bachelors hut further west in Domain Road (see id #518) (From J P Parcels notes). At this time the author can find no definite dates for his occupation of either #68 or #518. |

On Dec 14 1903, David Ure McGregor was found dead in his hut at Stewart Town (dwelling #140). He was 68 years of age. He was buried in the Cromwell cemetery, in the McGregor family plot. |
