Dick remembers as a child being in Duffers Gully with his mother and father. He played with his mother's large cream and white mixing bowl when he was told not to. he bumped it off the table and it broke. Mrs Cotter used this bowl for cooking, mixing and baking. Mr Cotter had to ride his horse to Bannockburn to replace the bowl. He also remembers a photo taken in Duffers of his mother on a white horse with his brother and sister riding front and back of this mother. Pat Cotter worked as a musterer, farm hand, when he was not rabbiting. He worked for Kawarau and Mt Difficulty Stations at various times. |
