1228 c1951 Mrs Eleanor Ritchie purchased dwelling #79.

Mrs Ritchie purchased dwelling #79 around 1951 and moved from dwelling #109 where she had lived with her daughter Rata Dorothy Kitto and her husband for some time. Mildred Eleanor Ritchie, who was Mrs Ritchie's eldest daughter, returned from Dunedin to live with her mother. Alan Ritchie, who was Mrs Ritchies son and a builder, Jack Gibson built Mrs Ritchie a new mud brick house about 10m behind (south of dwelling #79) and this new house became dwelling #80.

1229 c1953 Mrs Ritchie moved into dwelling #80.

Mrs Ritchie and her daughter moved into their new house (dwelling #80) and dwelling #79 was left empty for some time before being demolished.
